Unto the archers of Nordskogen do Their Excellencies Caoilfhionn and Gabriel send greetings.
After four years of service as our archery champion, the Honorable Lord Augustein Baer Tesch deems it time to select a successor. Thus, at his request and with his counsel, we challenge all who wish to serve as Nordskogen’s archery champion to compete at Schützenfest XIII, May 20-22.
- We will choose our champion based on prowess and comportment observed at the event, both on and off the line. Skill, as indicated by scores, will be one factor but not the only factor in our evaluation.
- Competitors are not required to attend all three days of the event; Saturday’s shoots will be the primary activities, and competitors are encouraged but not required to participate in the Schützenkonig shoots.
- Competitors who live beyond the barony’s borders may enter, so long as they are willing to fill the champion’s duties of promoting archery in Nordskogen, representing the barony well on the field, and attending the baron and baroness in court when able.
TO ENTER:
- When you check in at the scoring table, please indicate that you wish to compete to be Nordskogen’s archery champion.
- Bring your best to the event’s activities.
- During session 4, please attend Nordskogen’s Baronial Archery shoot to be recognized and receive a token (just a short hello before the Five Ring and Viking Ship shoots).
The winner will be announced during evening court on Saturday.
